| The
Carrigaline u14's played Ballinascarthy on Monday the 8th of
May in Carrigaline. It was a cloudy day with the sun shining.
The pitch conditions were muddy and in the first half Carrig
were playing against the sun. In the 10th minutes a free from
Aideen McCarthy dropped in to the goal. The carrig backs were
put under pressure but held together well. Carrig turned it
around well and after a few attempts Danielle Neville finally
got it in the back of the net. For the next 5 minutes it was
tight with both teams having chances. At half time the score
was 2 goals to no score.
At the start of the second half the sun had gone down. After
a brilliant long puck from Aideen that dropped in by the goal
mouth, Jessica Buckley tapped it in. Ballinascarthy hit back
well with a goal. In a 3 person switch Edwina Neville, Stephanie
Milner & Jessica Buckley all came off for Jane O'Mahoney,
Shauna Mangan and Caoimhe Meaghan. Aideen McCarthy was injured
and Orla Milner went on for her. In the final substitution
of the game Kelly Ahern went on for Ciara O'Connell.
The
final score ended Carrigaline 3 - 0 to Ballinascarthy 1 –
