ALL IRELAND REFEREES NAMED

Armagh born Úna Kearney becomes the first lady from the Orchard county to take charge of a senior All-Ireland Camogie final this year when she will be blowing the whistle between Cork and Tipperary on September 19th.

For many years now the red haired lass from the St.Brendas Club in Ballymacnab in Armagh has been referring inter-county games in all sorts of weather. She was in charge of the 2002 Junior All-Ireland final. Úna is primary teacher in St.Catherines in Armagh.

Meanwhile the junior All-Ireland Final between Cork and Down will be referred by former Dublin senior star Aileen Lawlor who now resides in Westmeath. Aileen was in charge of the Senior Final in 2002.
